About Us

Since 2008, Huff-n-Puff Fitness Repair® services fitness equipment in the entire Chicagoland area. In late 2014 Huff-n-Puff merged with J&K Fitness Repair in Milwaukee. The consolidation of the assets and abilities of two longtime friends resulted in the Midwest’s premier fitness equipment repair company.

With a full complement of office and field staff, we are able to ensure the fastest response and turnaround times possible. Give us a call, and we all but guarantee that we will answer the phone. In the rare case we are unable to answer, we will call you back as quickly as possible. You will not be waiting long.

From tensioning a walking belt to relocating a large commercial gym, we have done it all. You will benefit from our established relationships with manufacturers, as we are able to obtain OEM replacement parts at the best possible prices. In the unlikely event we need troubleshooting assistance from the manufacturer, our status as a certified repair company will fast track your case so we can have you up and running in the shortest time possible.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Huff-n-Puff Fitness Repair, LLC will be closed until April 30th. Per the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (IDCEO) and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), services to all residences and most commercial facilities has been deemed recreational and is not considered essential. We all understand the importance of your fitness routines and realize this is highly disruptive; in the same way the livelihoods of over a dozen of our employees have been disrupted by this pandemic.

In the meantime, we are authorized to service our hospitals and rehab facilities and are maintaining minimal staffing to ensure that we are able to respond to them as needed. Per the IDCEO and WEDC, service calls to residences, even due to medical need, are not authorized. Per their judgement, residential fitness equipment is not medical equipment, and is therefore not essential.

Once more, we fully understand how disruptive this is to everyone. Please do not ask us to make an exception to these orders. We run every part of this company by the book and we will not risk the health and safety of our employees and our customers, nor do anything outside the law. Any provider that continues to perform fitness equipment service outside the parameters set by IDCEO and WEDC is in violation of the directives that have been established.

We are eagerly awaiting the day when these orders are lifted and we are back to helping you maintain your fitness goals. When that time comes we will be making an exhaustive effort to perform service as quickly as humanly possible. We do anticipate a backlog of 5-plus weeks, and as always, service calls will be handled in the order they were received. If you are in need of service, please submit a request online and we’ll be in touch as quickly as possible.

Lastly, to all our customers, thank you all for your patience. You have all been wonderful to work with throughout this uncertain time. As we all pull through this together, we look forward to continuing to serve you as soon as these restrictions are lifted.
